9 month appointment

Jackson had his 9 month appointment on Friday, and it went really well! He is growing well and hitting all the same measurements that his daddy did at the same time! He weighed in at 19 lb 6 oz and measured 29.25 inches long. He's long and lean! He did really well with the doctor and didn't even flinch when they did a finger stick. He is still rejecting Stage 3 foods, and our doctor told us to start giving him soft table foods. Today, he had a Stage 3 lasagna for lunch. He would suck all of the red sauce off and spit the pasta back out. Very cute. =) He is curious about everything, especially areas of the house that aren't sufficiently "babyproofed". He keeps us on our toes all of the time!

9 months old

Jackson turned 9 months on July 17. We can't believe how fast the time has gone by! It seems like just yesterday we were heading to the hospital. He is learning new things every day and continues to surprise us with his personality. He is a very happy little guy and likes to see what kind of "trouble" he can get into. He's a big cuddle bug with his mommy and thinks everything his daddy does is hilarious! We are pretty lucky parents!

Jackson Updates

It has been a very busy summer with Jackson! We have gotten to do a lot of things with him and have covered a lot of "firsts". He took his 3rd plane trip to Florida to visit Gramma and Grampa Glick. While we were there, he took a ride in a golf cart, visited the ocean and an aquarium, went in the pool for the first time and ate lunch with Shamu and friends at Sea World! We all had a great time!

After that was some time at home. He had swim lessons, which he loved! He was very comfortable in the water and was an expert "floater" when he was able to relax.
For his first 4th of July, we went to see fireworks with Uncle Tommy and his cousin Grayson. He did really well! He watched the firstworks and didn't cry - we were so proud! He also got to experience his first time playing in the grass. He sat on the edge of the blanket and examined the grass with his hands - very cute!

This past weekend, we went to Arkansas to visit Grandma and Grandpa DeVito. It was a fun weekend - Andy and Grandpa played golf while the girls (and Jackson) shopped. Jackson REALLY enjoyed exploring all of the furniture at Grandma and Grandpa's house and climbed under everything. He got to take his first boat ride and enjoyed driving the boat. Grandpa was such a good driver that Jackson passed out and took a nice nap.

Jackson has been using a lot of chairs (including his high chair) as walkers lately, so Andy and I found a little sit 'n ride for him. You can see in the pictures that he figured out how to use it right away and really seems to enjoy it!

Last but not least, Jackson has his two top teeth! We haven't been able to get a good picture of them, but they're coming in quickly! Check back for a picture of his toothy grin soon...

Our First Blog

Well, I decided that the Glicks should try this blogging thing... so here I am. I can't promise that I'll update it very often. As some of you know, I have over 500 unread messages in my email account, so we'll see how this goes!

Jackson and I are off for the summer and enjoying every minute of it! We've spent a lot of time swimming, and Jackson has even gone down the slide at our pool - quite an adventurous baby! He really enjoys the water and loved his swimming lessons for the most part. He just joined The Little Gym and REALLY loves that, as does his dad...

Andy and I are enjoying life, love being parents and are busy trying to keep up with our little one.

Here is a picture of our family the first time Jackson ever went in a pool...

He even got to take a ride in his first golf cart and sit in the "driver's seat"!

Stay tuned for more updates from the Glicks!
